Sorry for the silence in the past week.  Once we decided to spontaniously head to Colorado to surprise my siblings… well, life has been a whirlwind.  Plus, everything I wanted to tweet or blog about had to do with leaving and how my other two sisters were flying into Colorado this weekend as well.  Hello Sokoll family reunion!  I couldn’t have the surprises blown… so I just had to keep my mouth shut.  It has been a very full, fun and exhausting couple of days.  Johnny has taken to not sleeping through the night anymore… just a few couple hour naps here and there.  In any case, after 4 nights of that in  row- we are all pretty wiped out.  We survived the trip out here in one piece -6 hrs on Wednesday night with a stop in Kearney, NE and then 5 hrs on Thursday to put us here around lunch.  The kids did great in the car, it was the overnight stop that had 2 hours of tears transferring them into beds, getting settled, ect.  We decided (and are hoping!) that they are so exhausted that we will just try to head home tomorrow for the full 11-12 hr ride home.  If you think of us from noon-12am on Monday- pray for us! 🙂  Here are some pictures of our adventures so far.

Here the kids were SO excited to ride in the street (cul-de-sac) with Poppi on their bikes!  Poppi put Belle’s pedals back on so she can ride her girlie bike- all smiles from her. 🙂  Belle kept telling Poppi, “Lets go faster!”

Johnny is absolutely in LOVE with T.J.  I’m not sure we are going to make it until he is 6 years old before we get a dog….

Miss Millie wants to walk everywhere!  Jade rigged up some fabric to save her back. 🙂

The cousins playing together on the couch.  If Belle could hold/touch/carry/love on Millie 24/7… she would.  However, Aza is getting old enough to have her own opinion. 🙂

Johnny enjoyed 2 fruit skewers!  He ate them like corn on the cob. 🙂

Did I mention my children are tired?  Johnny passed out on the couch an hour before nap time yesterday.  We are having a great time, but Momma and Poppa will be glad to get them back in a sleeping routine. (Whatever that is. 🙂 )

And finally the kids got to go out on the lake (litterally in my parent’s back yard)  in the canoe with John and Jason yesterday- a highlight for both of them!  Johnny kept yelling “A WATER! A WATER!” 🙂

Belle with her dad. She was all smiles the entire time, but Jason said she was holding onto his pants for dear life!

Loving Colorado!  But happy to be heading home tomorrow!
